Ingredients: Raw rice flour, Roasted gram powder/Pottukadalai
Ingredients to add:
Please add the below ingredients with Leela’s murukku Flour,
- Ajwain/ omam or sesame seeds – 1 teaspoon
- Asafetida – 1 generous pinch
- Hot oil/Butter – 1 tablespoon
- salt – Required
Cooking Instructions & tips:
- Place all the ingredients in a mixing bowl, mix well.
- Add hot oil from the kadai or 2 spoons of butter and mix well.
- Add water gradually and carefully to make a smooth dough.
- If murukku breaks while you press, then sprinkle little more water to make it smoother dough.
- Keep the dough always covered using small cloth to avoid drying.
- Heat required oil in a kadai.
- Drop the murukku in the hot oil and cook both the sides.
- Once the bubbles reduced, take out the murukku from hot oil.
- Take a paper towel and drain the excess oil.
- Once cool down, store it in an airtight container.
